got my self a kn labs 200 multi test kits today and every reading i got b ack was bang on except my alkaline reading being very high so i got some dechlorinator and i flushed my b/d 4 times until nice and clear as i was told and then put the dechlorinator in and then topped back up .the part im unsure is how long should it take for the reading on on the test to come and if its still high should i add more dechlorinator.
the fish seem more happy after what i did last night and a feeding but i just done another test and its still reading high ,should i do a part water change again and put some more dechlorinator in or not

what was the ph? and what is the ph of the water you are putting in?

hi liz thanks for the reply
my ph was sitting around 7-8 and all the other tests i did was also on the money ,i went and seen tim waddington yesterday and he gave me a buffer that instantly sorted the high level i had ,i did a test on my house water and this is the cause as this is giving a high reading also ,

well you have a good source of information in Tim Waddington, has he got any nice fish in?

i called in today to see tim and he got a few nice tancho's in but way out my price range sadly.there was was really nice fish for growing on in the £95 tank
have you been in ken waterhouse new place at widnes
